REGISTRATION
‼️Registration opens on October 15 at 5pm (Timezone UTC +1)‼️
Participants: 2008-2013
IST'ers: 2007+
Laders: 20+
Helpers: Only for faroes people age 18+
Now it's finally possible to get more information about how the registration process works. We urge you to read everything thoroughly so you are ready when the registration opens.
The first registration does not require any payment. However, once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation that your registration has been received. By no later than November 16th, 2024, everyone who has registered will receive a notification on whether they are accepted for the camp or not. If your registration is approved, you will have 7 days to pay a non-refundable registration fee of 200 DKK per participant. This applies to all participants, leaders, IST members, and helpers and is not part of the camp fee.
As space is limited, it may happen that not everyone will be accepted. We reserve the right to choose between all registered patrols to ensure diversity. We aim to have as many countries represented as possible.
The camp is designed for scouts who fit the traditional scouting age ranges, specifically for Scouts, Pioneers, and Rovers up to 17 years old. This camp is generally open to scouts born between 2008 and 2013. However, the age range for the youngest participants may vary depending on the country, as different scouting organizations have slightly different age divisions. For the International Service Team (IST), the camp is open to scouts born in 2007 or earlier, with no upper age limit.
The camp fee is as follows:
-
Participants: 1,200 DKK
-
IST members: 800 DKK
-
Leaders: 800 DKK
-
Helpers: Free of charge
IST Members:
An IST member (International Service Team) is an assistant leader present throughout the camp. IST members will meet on July 29th, two days before the camp starts, and leave on August 5th, same day as the camp ends. The tasks assigned to IST members are very diverse.
Leaders:
This role is designated for individuals who attend the camp as official leaders representing their country and patrol. Leaders are responsible for supervising their scouts, managing their patrols, and ensuring their safety and participation in camp activities. There must be atleast one leader for each patrol. This field is only visibly when registering as a "scout group".
Helpers:
Helpers is an option for Faroese people who want to assist with smaller tasks before, during, and/or after the camp but cannot attend the entire camp. This includes tasks such as manning a sales station, night shifts, cleaning the campsite, being on duty, cleaning toilets and other buildings, etc. We strive to find a task that suits you perfectly. Accommodation and meals are not included. Helpers will have the option to purchase meals at the camp.
It is recommended that scout groups register their scouts together. However, each scout also has the option to register individually and join an international patrol.
As mentioned, registration opens on October 15th, and the registration will take place on this page. We recommend using a computer for registration and not a phone, as the registration system is designed for computers.
When you start the registration process, you select how you want to register:
-
Scout Group: This should be selected if you are registering via a scout group. Here you will need to provide how many participants, IST members, and leaders you are registering. You must also indicate how many patrols you are registering. There must be at least one leader per patrol.
-
IST Member: This should be selected if you want to be an IST member at the camp.
-
Helper: This option is only available for Faroese residents who want to lend a helping hand at the camp.
Helpers will be assigned smaller tasks during the camp, such as staffing a sales station, night shifts, cleaning the camp area, area security, cleaning toilets and other buildings, etc. We aim to find a task that suits you specifically.
Scouts can also register themselves in an international scout patrol under the same registration. In this registration, parental or guardian consent is required. You can find the document that needs to be filled out here, and it will also be available during registration. A picture of the completed document must be uploaded for the registration to be valid.
